1. When you confess, with your heart, that Jesus Christ is Lord, you are saved and receive eternal life. But He does not want to be just a guest within you; He wants to fully occupy your soul. Therefore, invite Christ to dwell in you. Let Him be the Lord of your life, governing your mind, your will, and your emotions (Romans 10:10; Ephesians 3:17).
2. Being free in our thoughts is not simply about thinking what we want, but about having our minds aligned with God’s will. Only then will we fulfill His will: to rule the whole Earth. Many Christians have God only as a guest in their hearts, but we need to allow Him to dwell within us, ruling our entire being (Ephesians 3:17-19).
3. When we allow God to govern us, our decisions are headed up by Christ. Do you allow the living water to wash and sanctify your whole being, removing what is not of God and adding elements of life through the living Word—through immersion, transcription, and war cries? We are channels of living water (Ephesians 5:26).
4. “Hearing the voice of the Lord makes our hearts burn and leads us to serve Him in a living, not automatic, way. [Thus] the life of God in us grows; and […] love also grows, for God is love. When we grow in life, we have a solid foundation of love on which to begin building ourselves up with our brothers and sisters” (1 John 4:8-11) (Daily Food, Book 9, Week 1, Tuesday, p. 8).
