1. Jacob blessed Pharaoh because he had reached maturity in life. Through the flow of life that is in the Word, coupled with the tribulations that befall us, we too can reach this maturity through the washing of the Word, which transforms our soul. Thus, we become capable of blessing all those around us (Genesis 47:7; Ephesians 5:25-26).
2. Jacob reached a spiritual stage where divine life could manifest itself through him as an authority, making him God’s representative on Earth. Similarly, when we preach the gospel, we are not inferior to others, but representatives of the Lord’s authority on Earth (Genesis 47:8-9; John 20:21).
3. The more the life of God grows in us, the more we exercise His authority on Earth. Colporteurs are not insignificant people, but representatives of divine authority on Earth (Matthew 28:18-20).
4. “You are a child and heir of God and have the promise to inherit the Earth. Do not waste your life fighting for possessions and wealth, for these things are fleeting. Your destiny is to be a co-heir with Christ! But there is a condition: it is necessary that we suffer with Him, so that we may be glorified with Him (Romans 8:16-17).” (Daily Food, book 9, week 3, Friday, p. 49).
