1. God needs faithful stewards today, who do not trust in their own thoughts or ways, but in the living water that flows among us. Let us trust in the living Word that the Lord speaks to us each week, each day. It is up to us to diligently listen to the Lord’s voice, to be simple in applying and practicing it. It works effectively in those who believe (Hebrews 3:5).
2. We should not live according to our own devices or in our own way, but trust in God, for He will give us the best. He works in all things for His Kingdom, in order to fulfill His will. When we understand this, we begin to do things according to His will and in His way spontaneously, because we allow ourselves to be guided by the flow of the water of life. In this way, we live in peace (Genesis45:25-26; Psalm 125:1; Philippians 4:6-7).
3. Today we are learning to live by the flow of the Spirit and to serve in rest, for the presence of the Lord is with us. If we still insist on doing everything our way, we will grow weary, and the effort will be worthless. When we work in the flow of living water, it is the Word in which we believe that works effectively (Exodus 33:14; Hebrews4:8-10).
4. “When someone walks in the presence of the Lord, He guides everything clearly. […]”But he said to me, ‘The Lord, before whom I walk, will send His angel with you and prosper your way…’” (Genesis 24:40). Walking in the presence of the Lord brings security, direction, and the certainty that He will bring everything to a successful conclusion” (Daily Food, Book 9, Week 1, Sunday, p. 21).
