1. Jacob blessed Pharaoh when he met him. This scenario shows that he was superior to the king of Egypt, for the greater blesses the lesser. We are in a spiritual position of greater authority than the rulers of the Earth, for we are representatives of the kingdom of heaven, which is superior to the kingdoms of the world (Hebrews 7:7).
2. We bless people when we go out into the streets and reach them by preaching the gospel of the kingdom together with the TCS, colporteurs, GPC workers, etc., using the various tools that the Lord has given us (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19).
3. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob wandered for many years in the land of Canaan, for they awaited a superior homeland. Similarly, even possessing wealth and possessions, we need to consider ourselves pilgrims on Earth, for our true aspiration is to reach the heavenly homeland (Hebrews 11:8-10, 13).
4. “Those who serve the Lord have His blessing upon them. […] When we serve the Lord, obeying His word, we are seen as blessed people” (Genesis 26:26-29) (Daily Food, book 9, week 3, Thursday, p. 47).
