- Although he was steeped in Judaism and persecuted the Church, Paul had already been separated by God before he was born and was called by His grace! We are here today because the Lord also knew us before He formed us in the womb. We may have followed the wrong paths in the past, but God has written our names in the Book of Life. Therefore, let us never say that the Lord does not understand us or has abandoned us. He knows every part of us! (Ps 139:13-16; Eph 1:4-6).
- The Lord has set us apart, chosen us, and called us to be His servants. If we do not serve Him, we are on the wrong path. Even if we say we do not have time, the Lord calls us to serve Him today! When the Lord captures us, He gives us time! Let us begin, little by little, to follow the Word and use the time available to immerse ourselves. When we begin to get a “taste,” we will dedicate more time to the Lord. We were not called to be servants of the world, but of the Lord (Eph 1:4; Isa 49:1-5).
- Abraham was justified by faith: when he believed God, it was counted to him as righteousness. The Law was given 430 years later so that the people of Israel would have a guardian until Christ came. With the coming of Christ, the people were supposed to come out from under the rule of the Law and submit to the rule of Christ. But because of the hardness of their hearts, they persecuted and killed the Son of God. With the coming of Christ, we are no longer under the Law. Let us not trust in our own ability, trying to be perfected in the flesh, but follow the Spirit of life (Rom 4:3; Gal 3:23, 26; 1 Cor 15:45).
- We are the church that calls on the name of the Lord, the church in Philadelphia, that keeps the Word and does not deny His name. The only way to salvation is to believe with our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord! We are not masters of ourselves: Jesus is the Lord of our lives and is rich to all who call on Him (Rom 10:5-13; Rev 3:8)
