DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Saturday | Msg. 15 – Whatever a Man Sows, That Will He Also Reap

  1. When the apostle Paul learned that someone in the church in Corinth was committing immorality, his initial reaction was firm and severe. Later, however, as one who walks in the Spirit, he understood that those who are spiritual must correct those who are wrong in a spirit of gentleness and be careful not to be tempted themselves (1 Cor 5:1-5; 2 Cor 2:5-8; 1 Cor 10:12-13).

  1. God exhorts us to bear one another’s burdens. We may even think, “I’m so burdened with my own things, and I’m still going to do this?” But believe me: when you are truly willing to bear the burden of others, yours will be lightened. Try it! Be willing to care for some, using immersion in the word (Gal 6:2; Matt 11:28-30).

  1. The Lord has had mercy on us and placed us in the church life — not because we are good. Let us not deceive ourselves! Let us be faithful to the Lord and work for Him. Let us not judge others by our own yardstick, as if we were perfect, correct, or righteous. Let us remain humble, with a contrite spirit and a reverent love for the word (Gal. 6:3-5; Luke 18:9-14; Isa. 66:2).

  1. “We are governed by the Holy Spirit. […] we are those who follow the Spirit through the prophetic word. Even if we face difficulties and persecutions, as Paul and Silas did, the Spirit will be with us. If you follow the Spirit, He will always be with you! You will not feel sorrow, but joy! (Acts 16:16-34; 2 Pet 1:19) (Daily Food, book 1, wk. 1, Saturday, pp.19-20).
