1. The blood of Jesus redeemed us from our sins and God regenerated us, gave us a new birth; we gained a new life and this new life gave us a faith equally precious among all the brothers and sisters (Eph 1:7; 2:13; Heb 9:13-14; 2 Pet 2:1-2).
2. In the dispensation of the law, ability depended on the effort of the natural man, on cultural and academic training, or on knowledge acquired through human experience. But in the dispensation of faith, all are placed on equal terms, for all receive equally precious faith (Gal. 1:13-14; 2 Pet. 1:1).
3. The prophetic word is being dispensed but inculcating it in our hearts depends on our willingness. Let us not feel sorry for ourselves, because we have equally precious faith and the word can bring, through faith, the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us assume our responsibility, immerse ourselves in the word and progress in faith to enter the eternal kingdom of our Lord Jesus (2 Pet 1:3-11).
4. “In the realm of faith we have the spiritual reality that the old man has been crucified and is dead. You are no longer bound by the law of sin and death, by the law of Moses, by your logical mind, by your own experience and ability. The capable “I” no longer lives; today you live by faith in Christ, and the Lord lives in you.” (Gal. 2:20) (Daily Food, Book 2, Week 2, Sunday, p. 36).
