1. Through His death and resurrection, Christ has given us life. Christ is life itself. And after giving us life, He desires to fill us with the truth, which is also Himself. The truth has been planted in us, and all falsehood, lies, and vanity have been eliminated from our being. Thus, we are increasingly filled with Christ (John 12:24; 14:6).
2. Let’s never rest on yesterday’s experience. Today is the day. I depend on the Spirit and the Word— everything is new. Yesterday we were immersed; today we need to be immersed again. We need the Word, and we need the Lord to plant it more and more in our hearts (John 17:17; Phil. 3:13).
3. We are in the end times. Do you believe it? We have no more time to waste. Let us shorten the time for the accomplishment of God’s will. When it is accomplished, time will no longer be of any use. The fullness of time will come when all things are subjected to Christ, under His feet (Eph 1:9-10; Heb 2:8).
4. “All of us, when we first began our Christian walk, were simple and humble. But as time goes by, as we gain knowledge, experience, and skills, we begin to run the risk of losing the simplicity of our beginnings. And when we fall into this situation, we lose the vigor and power of the Spirit. Therefore, we need to always remain simple” (2 Cor 11:3) (Daily Food, book 2, week 3, Thursday, p. 49).
