1. There is a river whose flow produces the washing of water by the word, washing away a little more of our sinful nature, the old man, and placing within us the holy nature of God. The more we let it flow through us, the more it washes away everything that is natural and the more we rejoice. The currents of this river make glad the city of God (Ps 46:4; Eph 5:25-26).
2. Today we do not see God in His image. How do we know that the church has the presence of God? It is when the church has the speaking of God. It is the speaking of God that indicates His presence. Thus, the apostles’ speaking was God’s presence (John 21:1-7; Acts 2:42-46).
3. What matters is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. When there is righteousness, there is peace; and when there is peace, there is joy. Thank God, today in the church, we are under His authority and have His presence in the word. We love the word and carry out the command that comes through it. The result is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).
4. “We are all under God’s command through His word. By joining forces with one another, at the same frequency and intensity, we enhance our energy to fulfill God’s will” (Phil. 2:1-2) (Daily Food, book 4, week 4, Wednesday, pp. 58, 59).
