DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Thursday | Msg. 11 – A Helper Comparable to Man

1. We are powerless—we are weak, fragile, and mortal. But through Jesus Christ, who suffered and died on the cross for us, He has done away with the old man, our fallen nature, and has filled us with the new man, daily constituting us with His divine elements through the Word (Eph. 2:1; Rom. 5:6).

2. When we believe in Jesus, the Spirit of God enters our spirit, but our soul remains the same, without immediate change. It is through God’s Word that it begins to be transformed, and God begins to take possession of our soul. However, while we are on Earth, our soul still needs to be subject to Christ (John 7:38-39; Eph. 5:26-27; 1 Pet. 1:6-7).

3. For our souls to be transformed, we must undergo trials so that our faith may be approved and all the impurities that still exist within us may be removed. Therefore, God needs to sanctify us with water, through the Word (1 Peter 1:6-7).

4. “Thank the Lord, things are changing. In Abraham and in his descendant, who is Christ, God promised that He would bless all the families of the Earth through the promised Spirit” (Gal. 3:14; Acts 3:24-26) (Daily Food, book 5, week 1, Thursday, p. 12).
