DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Sunday | Msg. 23 – God Reconfirms His Promise to Abraham After Lot’s Separation

1. The inheritance of Christ, descended from Abraham, is not limited to the Middle East, but encompasses all nations, even to the ends of the earth, for His possession. And we who are in Christ also inherit what He inherited. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we do not covet material things on this earth, for God wants to give us something much greater than this (Psalm 2:8; Rom. 8:14, 17).

2. God promised Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. There are two kinds of descendants here: the earthly descendants, the people of Israel, are as numerous as the sand on the seashore; and the heavenly descendants, the people of faith, are as numerous as the stars in the sky (Gen. 22:17; Gal. 3:7, 29).

3. We will inherit the whole earth with the Lord. In the millennium, we who fight in Zion for the kingdom of God will be victorious. Christ will reign over the whole earth, and we will reign with Him for a thousand years. That is why we fight! Here on earth, we live as strangers and exiles, for our homeland is heavenly (Ps 2:6-8; Rev 20:6; Heb 11:13, 16).

4. “The moon represents the church, reflecting the light of the sun to govern the night until the sun appears in its fullness. After His resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven, but that sun will return. After Jesus’ departure, we live in a great night, which is governed by the moon, that is, by the church. The church governs the night by reflecting the light of the sun, reflecting the light of Christ” (Gen. 1:16; John 8:12; Matt. 5:14-16)” (Daily Food, book 2, week 1, Sunday, pgs. 20-21).
