DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Monday | Msg. 37 – Jacob: The Need for Transformation

1. Water is fundamental for survival, but not just any water—rather, living waters, running waters. Abraham and King Abimelech made an oath to confirm Abraham’s ownership of a well that he himself had dug. The place came to be called Beersheba, which means “well of the oath.” In the Scriptures, running waters represent blessing and prosperity (Genesis 21:30-31; 26:18-19).

2. When we live only by religious appearance, without producing fruit for God, Satan is satisfied and does not bother us. However, when we are blessed and God accomplishes His will through us, the attacks begin. One of the enemy’s strategies to paralyze God’s people is to cut off the supply of “living waters.” Let us not allow our well to be plugged up (Genesis 26:15).

3. We do not live on bottled water from times past. God has continually supplied us with living waters, running waters. The prophets transmitted living words, and the Lord Jesus declared that out of the heart of those who believe in Him would flow rivers of living waters. Each day, we have received fresh water—the living speaking of God (Acts 7:38; John 7:37-38).

4. “Christ preached the gospel of the kingdom, for His goal was to establish the kingdom of God on Earth. As David’s mighty men, we also preach the gospel of the kingdom, for our heart is turned toward the kingdom of God. […] We want to have the same attitude as David’s mighty men: to be proactive and fulfill the King’s will” (1 Chronicles 12:21-22) (Daily Food, Book 6, Week 1, Monday, page 6).
