DAILY IMMERSION IN THE PROPHETIC WORD Saturday | Msg. 44 – The Death of Rachel and The Birth of Benjamin

1. Like Caleb, you need to have another spirit. To have another spirit means to persevere in following the Lord. It is to continue receiving the Word and immersing yourself in it, believing what it says, following the Lord through it, and proclaiming war cries. One does not need to be a hero; it is enough to follow the Lord and persevere in the apostles’ teaching and in fellowship (Numbers 13:30; 14:24).

2. To conquer Hebron, that is, a life of fellowship with God, it is necessary to believe in the Word, persevere in following Him, not be weighed down by problems, and keep the fighting spirit always fresh (Joshua 14:6-15; Acts 2:42).

3. Esau traded the birthright for a lentil soup; Reuben lost it because of fornication. Issues such as adultery and prostitution are very serious before the Lord. There are many “lentil soups” before us—the passions of youth and the appeals of the world. We need to watch very carefully not to trade the birthright for the passing pleasures of the world (Genesis 35:22; 1 Chronicles 5:1-2; Hebrews 11:24; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21).

4. “The second chapter of the book of Acts describes a living in which the Christians there had everything in common: ‘Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common’ (Acts 2:44). No one had separated what was exclusively his own. Today the Lord has brought us back to this wonderful principle. There is no other place with this environment that we live in!” (Acts 2:42-44; Psalm 133:1-3) (Daily Food, book 6, week 3, Saturday, pp. 53, 54).
